One of the cornerstones of theater is the feeling of togetherness. We create together and experience together, with artists and audiences. In this time when physical togetherness has not been possible, the artists and staff at Shattered Globe have been considering just how vital this kind of connection is and reflecting on a quote from Oscar Wilde: “I regard theater as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being.”
We can only imagine what artists will create in response to this moment, and how they will explore “what it is to be a human being” at this time in our world. We cannot wait to reconnect with our audience in person when it is safe to welcome you back to the theater. In the meantime, know what we are with you.
